Strings instad of numbers after Case is? and wish to include more Colunms

Hello all,
I'm quite new to this forum and I'm not very experienced with vba. Today I found out two difficulties that I cannot solve for my own.
First question is whether it is possible or not, and when how to get this code to work with Strings instead of numbers at the end of each CaseIs oiow "(Cells(i, k)?

My second question is how to paste code in order to make "cells(i, x)" that let me choose some more Columns of same structure?

What is this supposed to be?

Why don't you give us the big picture on what you are trying to do rather than the code that doesn't do it.

I've got a lot of temperature data at different times, and I have to make a table, where there are categorys for this depending a) to the location, b) to measure time and their real values.

What i've done is to abstract the data of the temperatures, which should show 7 different groups of the state of temperature, but at other measure time, there may be equal values which I would make visible with terms like a or bcd, or only f, there may happen all kombinations within one group.

My last post was weak, sorry for that.
I'll try to make visible what I really have to do:

I've got 25 Sheets. each of them represents a location. All sheets are of same Structure as follows.

First Column a Date, In B a inventory number with 12 digits. But then comes in C, D, E, F, G, H and K measurements of temperature at definite times. On the other Hand there is a scale: 0-12, 12-19, 20-35, 36-50, 51-72, 73-84 and 85-100, called a, b, c , d, e, f, g.

I shall find out which measures of temperature hit the scales per day.
