application.vlookup does not return a value

good day all. i am having a problem with application.vlookup! i have a userform with a text box. the user inputs a value in the text box and the vlookup function will check and see if it is in a list after the textbox is updated. however the vlookup never returns anything....always N/A, even when the value IS in the list. any ideas?

B1 and C1 values ALWAYS show N/A and i always get the msgbox "bad number" returned even when the lookup SHOULD return a value that IS listed.

it is very frustrating.

Are the values in the first column of the lookup table stored as numbers? If so, try converting the textbox data:
