Post Report automation and distribution via web with partitioned viewer access

    Hi,

My name is Kneale, and I just joined the forum (sounds very Roman, doesn't it! )

My problem is I want to simplify my life by enabling a single workbook of multiple sheets to be distributed on the web, but for different persons to have access to 'their' sheet only.

I import raw data to a worksheet, manipulate it through pivot table(s) and then run macros to update report views to many pages in the spread sheet.

Currently I have to then copy and paste each work sheet to separate work books for distribution to recipients.

I want to allow access for people to view ONLY their relevant worksheets by sharing my workbook on the web.

Can anyone help me to tell me how I do this ??

    Many thanks in anticipation,

    Kneale Harris

    Hi Kneale

Just a tip - try googling your question before asking on here, as you will quite often find the answer you are looking for.

The only way I can think of is to have a "Control" page which all users can access, then have separate buttons for each user. These buttons will open their corresponding userforms which prompts you for a password. Upon entering the correct password they can then run a macro to unprotect the workbook, unhide the respective page, and reprotect the workbook again.

    HTH

Edit: You could just have one button and one userform, then upon pressing ok you can cycle through all the passwords in an if statement and unhide the relevant sheet. Just say if you need a hand
