Runtime error 70 message when clicingk on a button in IE

    Hello,

I am running a Excel vba code that automates a series of interactions with Internet Explorer. After upgrading to Windows 8, I am receiving a runtime error 70 message when the code is attempting to click on a button in IE. Checking online, I found that I need to turn off the "Enable Authorization Checking" using the MTS Explorer. What I have been unable to find is how to reach the MTS Explorer even though I have admin rights.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

"The MTS Explorer is available in the Start Menu by opening Programs\Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack\Transaction Server\ Transaction Server Explorer. After MTS is installed, the MMC will have an entry for Microsoft Transaction Server directly off the Console Root in the left pane. After you expand the Microsoft Transaction Server folder, the list of MTS servers available for administration is in the Computers folder. By default no remote servers are listed. Local MTS configuration can be performed through the My Computer item, a child of the Computers folder."

Re: Runtime error 70 message when clicingk on a button in IE

It doesn't seem that this solution works for Windows 8 as I can't find the folders for Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack or Transaction Server. Do I need to install Visual Basic to install Windows NT first? Even if that works, it would be too complicated to ask clients to first install VB in order to run the macro... I'm a bit frustrated, but maybe it's a sign to start moving away from vba and into another programming language.
