More than 1 xlsb files at once in use?

    Hello All,

I woud have a simple question regarding xlsb files. I have some macros I would give to others, but I would desire to protect them with a password. I can’t allow myself to set a password to other people’s personal.xlsb, so I would creat other projects for them (I can not put it in a workbook, since everytime, there will be a new file).
I tried to create another project, with different name. In the VBA Editor I can see it, but when I want to creat a shortcut in excel in my menu, Excel crashes. When I only have personal xlsb, everything works fine.
    I use Excel 2007.
Could you help me with some advice?

Thank you very much in advance,
    Ambrus

    Hi Ambrus,
I think you should think in another direction. Are you aware of using 'Addins'?

You can find a convienent tutorial here: http://www.fontstuff.com/vba/vbatut03.htm

The pro's of Addin use is that you can share it with anyone, having it password protected, and aside the personal.xlsb

    Kind regards.

    Tom

    Hi Tom!

I just tried, and everything worked fine.

I just saved as <name>.xlam, copied it C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\Xlstart, and the macros are all available upon starting Excel, and I can protect them with a password.

I'm so happy, thank you very much!

    King regards,

    Ambrus
