Push/Move data from a different cell

    Hello all,

I've searched high and low for an answer on this and I'm hoping one of you can help.

My goal is to have a secondary cell (A7)'s function or a Macro force a cell (A1)'s data to a new cell (A2) without having any function in A1 or A2. And, if at all possible, I would like to have A1's data deleted as soon it is transferred to A2. (The last part is not necessary, but it would be useful).

For context, I'm working on a Shoots & Ladders type scenario within excel. The piece will be moved by cutting the cell and pasting it where the piece will be moved. For this reason, neither the top nor the bottom of the shoot/ladder can have a function or else the function would be cut from it's place and rendered useless.

If anyone could provide some insight, I would greatly appreciate it.

Im pretty sure this is very easy, but can you you upload an example of what you want or give some more detail? Is there only ever data in the A column? Is the data only ever going to be moving down? Is it always going to be moving by 1 cell? What are you going to do that tells the macro to activate?

Data will be everywhere within the 10x10 grid between A1 and J10.
The data will move from 1 cell to it's predetermined second cell (ex. (B2 to C6) or (F8 to I4))
To activate the macro, I simply want the input of data to cause the activation.

Using the F8 to I4 example. If my data (x) is on B8 and I cut it and paste it on to F8, I want the data to then move to I4 and, if possible, no longer be at F8. Or, at the very least, I want F8 and I4 to both be X, without I4 having any functions on it at all so that I can cut the cell without removing any data other than X.

I found a few good functions and macros, but nothing that quite does what I want. This is more annoying than I anticipated.
