link a addin sub to a shortcut (ctrl + Q) for example

    Hello,

I have this tiny add-in to calculate a range.

    HTML Code:
I would like to trigger it by the key stroke CTRL + Q, but when I try to assign this Keystroke to the macro in my XLA I cannot find it in the list of available macros. Ideally, I would need it to stay available everytime I open an excel in each instances.

I know it's simple. but I am missing something.

Thanks for your help in advance,

    -Phil

In the macros dialog, type calcselection2 in the name box and you should then be able to use the options button to assign a shortcut.

Yes - it becomes part of the module (as long as you save the add-in of course!).
