Angry I'm trying to find workbook to delete it

    Hi
I’ve just started to see if I could learn and create Macros in Excel 2011 for Imac, I have created two workbooks, saved them some were, I can’t find them. Now each time I open Excel these two workbooks open as will, I don’t want them to, the name at the top of the workbooks is “Personal Macro Workbook.xlsm” I’ve searched for them using that name so that I can delete them but my computer can’t find them. Will someone please help me out?

Look for XLSTART folder. It will be hidden.

Re: I'm trying to find workbook to delete it

Press Alt+F11 in Excel to launch the VBE.
If the Immediate window isn't visible, press Control+G
In the Immediate window, type ? application.StartupPath and press Enter. VBA will display the path to XLStart.
Just follow the path in the system folder. If that folder is not visible there, unhide all the hidden folders.

Thank you for your help. But unfortunately nothing seem to work,I’ll explain my set up I have an iMac computer, with an apple wireless keyboard, and using Microsoftoffice 2011, the keyboard shortcuts you gave me don’t work, but. So I’ve started Excel, then pressed Control+G to try to open the Immediate window, but all this does is invoke the GO TO dialogue box. I am not sure what you mean by immediate window I’ve only had a Mac Computer for five months, but I’ve used a windows computer for a very long time. I hope you can bear with me and help me

taffyarinie, you will have to open Excel and open VBA from there, immediate window is part of VBA so you cannot use the same key combination in Excel to get that window. You might have to google on how to open VBA from Mac Excel & immediate window. Sorry, I don't use Mac so not sure what specific steps are required.
