Protect sheet can't select the unlocked cells

I've made a worksheet with Macro that I have it protected. Majority cells are locked. Some cells are unlocked for user to fill. When I protect the sheet, I only choose only to allow selection of unlocked cells.

However, after saving the worksheet on the current page, closing the Excel and opening the file again, I can no longer select on the unlocked cells.

I am not sure why the save and close action would reset the protect sheet selection I chose. Can anyone help if I can write a VBA script to prevent the reset from happening?

    Thank you so much,

    Chatchai

Re: Need help with protect sheet

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Is there any macro code in the Workbook Open or Save events, or on any of the Sheet events?

Yes.. Here is the open event but I don't have the save event. Does this code actually cause the problem?

Re: Need help with protect sheet

    Hi,

It certainly looks like that first line might not be helping. Why don't you comment it out (with the ' character) and try opening the workbook again.

    Let us know.
