    Post Automatically graphing data

    Automatic graphing with new data

Hi everybody, I have a very strange and for me a challenging data set.

I'm working for a small hospital and i'm trying to automatically have the data be entered into a graph as we enter more in.
Here's how the data is like.
    A B C D E F G
person # date of test result date of test result date of test result
    person A 1/1/01 1.0 1/2/01 1.2 01/20/01 3
    person B 1/3/01 5.0 2/10/01 3

before I started, it was a long list for the everybody which looked very nice and clean, but when i plugged it into the graph it was all over the place.
When I remade it in the format above, I would go into the graph and "Select data" for each row and it worked out better. But that was only a small sample I was testing but obviously, it will continue to grow.

My scatter graph looks like this.

    X-axis is date
    Y-axis are results

Person A had test on the 1st, a dot for the result etc.

Again, if I do this one by one it works out well, but I want to try to automate it so when new data comes it is automatically completed.

Thank you for any assistant you may be able to provide.

If you use Microsoft Access instead of Excel, I believe it has this capacity. Perhaps others can speak to this?
