Macro to copy from one workbook to a different workbook

I need to copy data from one workbook to another workbook. The problem is that the receiving workbook will always have a different name. Here is my macro:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
I need the line Windows("Test File.xls").Activate to allow the user to choose the file to be activated, preferably without having to type in a file name. This file will already be open.

Any help anyone can provide would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

I apologize. I haven't had the time to test this solution to see if it works. I till try to test it tonight and will respond as soon as I have the chance.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your time.

Re: Macro to copy from one workbook to a different workbook

I've looked at the code in the post you referenced, but I have not been able to figure out how to make it work in my situation.

I've done some reading and have figured out that I should be able to retrieve the data from the source workbook without actually opening it if I use the entire file path. I'm hoping that would solve the problem of having to reactivate the "Test" file. However, I'm too inexperience with VBA to know the syntax necessary to accomplish this. I need to include the name of the worksheet in the source workbook as well as the file path.

I would greatly appreciate any help.

    Thank you.
