Was told that the solutions provided in the following thread only work on a Windows-based machine.

Any help on how to get this or an equivalent macro running on Excel for Mac 2011 would be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet would be to check some Mac forums and see if Apple might have an analog to Microsoft's API for this.
