exporting macros from vb.net to excel

currently i have a macro enabled execel template in which i dump data from table thr' vb.net code

how can the other way round be achieved ie without macro enabled excel template.
ie create macro code in vb.net acode & when exporting the data export the macro and achive the macro funtionality

i have a macro functionlity in which i have defined 5 macros such that the user can color the background color of the selected row on key press


does all excel versions support macro
will the macro written for excel version 2003 work on excel 2010??

i wanted to open excel from the client machine depending on the version the client machine has

my main purpose of using this macro is to distinguish the different rows in excel & then i need to import the data
