VBA count who got the higest score on each category

Im doing a leaderboard and want to show who is leading in each category with the highest singel score and the total score.

I already got help to show who is leading with the singel highest score for each category but not the totalt.
So I was thinking it might be simpler to do this with VBA and do a function and just call it on the sheet?
Is this possible and is it a better solution?
