    URGENT: Macro using If Function

    Hello Guys,

    I work as an HR in a company and I am stuck with an Urgent report that needs to be submitted to the Labor Department in couple of days. For now I can do something manually, however this would be 1 report that I will have to send to them on a month on month basis.

    This is basically an Attendance Report of all the employees (5000 nos). The report retrieved from the software is in the below format

    Emp No Emp Name 1 Mar 2014 2 Mar 2014 3 Mar 2014
    A123 John P | P A | A P | P

    P = Present, A= Absent, O=Off Day, H= Holiday, HL=Half Day Leave and L= Leave

    Here the attendance is on a session basis (that is Morning Session and afternoon session) but I need the report in a Daily basis (considering full day). So P:P=P, A:A=A, O:O=O, L:L=L, P:A=HL, P:L=HL

    Attached is the excel sheet for your reference.

    Re: URGENT: Macro using If Function

    Hello,

    I'm back with a modification request to the above query.

    With reference to the above mentioned request, I would like to see my report get converted as per the below equivalents.

    So, P:P=P, A:A=A, O:O=P, L:L=P, H:H=P, P:A=PA, A:P=PA, P:L=HL, L:P=HL

    I understand this is complicated and I am requesting an alteration to the above query.

    Awaiting your response. Thanks in advance!

    Try something like:

    Note that combinations AL, AP and PO exist in your sample data, but you haven't defined outputs for these.
    let Source = #table({"Question","Thread", "User"},{{"Answered","Mark Solved", "Add Reputation"}}) in Source

    If I give you Power Query (Get & Transform Data) code, and you don't know what to do with it, then CLICK HERE
