Macros to record data for different buttons that are clicked

Hi,

I am working on a side project at work that involves taking statistics during basketball games. We use a specific diagram in sportscode in order to live tag games and get data on made and missed shots and where on the court they were taken. FIBA Court Excel.JPG

This picture shows a rough diagram of what I would like to use. I hope to find a way that with clicking a particular spot on the floor, it can record the place name under the "Where" column.

So basically, is there a way to write a macro that when linked to an object will enter specified text into a selected cell???
