I have problem with Structural drawings member numbering. I have beam no. like 01B1, 01B2, 01B3, 01B4, 01B5, 01B6, 01B7, 01B8, 01B9, 01B10, 01B11, 01B19, 01B20, 01B21, 01B22, 01B30, 01B31, 01B32, 01B39,01B40,01B42.
When I am sorting it with A~Z, it's not working properly. it is coming like, 01B1, 01B10, 01B11, 01B19, 01B2, 01B20, 01B21, 01B22, 01B3, 01B30, 01B31, 01B32, 01B39, 01B4, 01B40, 01B42, 01B5, 01B6, 01B7, 01B8, 01B9.
Even after using "=TEXT(A1,00)" formula too. Please help.

I know 01B01 or 01B001 will work. But i want with above nos. But i have 02B1~27, 03B1~16 etc. Till now "=TEXT(A1, "00")", it is not working.

as you are sorting alphanumerical items the numbers will be sorted by coming up - so any 01B1 will be sorted first. Working aruund this could be to split the item up into the next cells and sort on theses (column(s) may be hidden afterwards):
