JB - Thanks I've been trying to figure this out myself. Is it possible to specify a date range to pull from.

Example

I have sheet1 for budget and sheet2 for spending tracking by category.

I would like sheet1 to total each categories from sheet2 by month. The example you gave above works but it totals the whole year for that category so far. Is it possible to have that SUMIF function only pull items in those categories during a certain month? Right now I manually input those totals in and if it's possible that would save a lot of time.
