Hi all --
Haven't used Excel in many many years so my skills (and thought processes) are quite rusty. Here's my dilemma -- which will probably be a cinch for one of you.
A few friends and I like to make following professional golf a bit more fun than just watching. Prior to an event, we each select 4 golfers from the weekly field. (No two participants can choose the same golfer.) We then follow results, hopeful that two of our four selected golfers will have the lowest combined score of the round/tournament. Oh! If one of our selections fails to make the cut, too bad.
I created a workbook with pages for each round and I'm fairly certain I've made this more complicated than it needs to be. (See attachment.)
1) How can I make daily tracking a bit easier? Is there a simple way to automatically pull in results from an external leader board?
2) How might I exclude a golfer's score from formulas if that golfer doesn't make the cut?
3) Any ideas how I might track results for each participant over an entire season? Separate page for each tourney?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions. (BTW: The main reason I'd like to figure this out: I'd like to have historical documentation that I've won all but one event since I joined out little league, and the fellows I play with have a tendency to forget that the only gal in the pool is kicking their butts!)
