    Question Conditional Format help...please

    Hi All,

Firstly I dont know if I am in the right section to be posting for the help I need. Secondly I am very new to using Excel. Never really used it before.

I have been given the task to make an Access Card Register.

I have done almost everything I need to do with it, except for one problem, I want to conditionally format a whole stack of columns and rows. I have only managed to get this to
work for one column. I cant get to work for the rest.
Basically, from F3 to F400 does what I want it to do with colors and dropdown list but what I really want to do is have it doing it from F3 to IV400. I have managed to get the dropdown lists to work
    but not the colors.
I am still very very new to excel, so if someone could explain it in plain english, that would be great.
I have also attached the file I am working on for someone to look at and possibly sort out.

    Re: Conditional Format help...please

Rather than use a formula for your conditions, use cell value is > equal to > ="IN" etc.

Then use the format painter to copy the conditions to the required columns.

Alternatively Select all the columns you need to format and apply the conditions using "cell value is"

    [EDIT]
Remember that C/F is volatile, this can drag down the performance of larger sheets.
So probably better to apply the formating to the range you need, rather than whole columns.
Say Range F2:M100, then if the Range needs expanding, the C/F can be applied by draging the cells as required.
