    Welcome to the forum!
    It sounds like you're comparing 70 cells to the same logical test. If that is the case, you'll need to array-enter your formula with Ctrl+Shift+Enter and not just Enter. However, depending on what you want your formula to do, there may be a better option, such as Sumproduct, Sumif, Sumifs, Countif, Countifs, Index/Match, or more.

    Thank you, everyone.
    I used what everyone suggested and came out with =IF(COUNTIF(N$4:N$63,"Beth")," ","Beth")
    which is what I was looking. Thanks again.
