    Subtraction

    Hi everybody!!

I have to work with various types to tickets. I've a worksheet where I've to maintain how many numbers of tickets I received and how many issued. Say, I received 1000 nos. of tickets bearing no.1001 to 2000. I put 1001 in cell a3 and 2000 in b3. The result is 999 but the number of ticket is 1000. How can I solve it? Help me. I am attaching a sheet for ready reference

Attached is the sheet where need the 'Total of Received', 'Total of Issue' and 'Balance'. I mean I'll put Ticket# in B4 & C4 cells from where 'total # of ticiet' will count in d4 cell. e4,f5,g4 is same. d4-g4 will show in the Balance(h4).

    Re: Substraction

See the attached file. I have made a few changes by adding an extra column. The way you want the balance to show, it wont work out with the current layout. You need a cummulative total (running balance) which i have given in the extra column.

Do as you have done in G6, add 1.
