Lightbulb calculate formula for on-time delivery

I am trying to set up a formula for my company to measure on-time deliveries. I believe that the 'value' calculation is best for our circumstances (total $ late vs total $ of order), but I would like to add a 'how late' factor to my calculation. In other words, if a shipment is 1 day late, it should be weighted differently than another shipment that is 60 days late (yes, it does happen here!). Any thought as to how to combine these two factors and get to one percentage answer?

    Your thoughts are much appreciated,
    Birgit

    Hi birgiths,

    Welcome to the forum.

I would suggest you to calculate the delay in day difference .. e.g. 1 day delay, 5 day delay and 60 day delay
and then allocate the weightage accordingly.. e.g.:-

    1 - 10 day delay = 90% positive out of 100% (or 10% negative)
    11 - 30 day delay = 80% positive out of 100% (or 20% negative)

    ..
    ..

Also, if you feel you can share the sampel file to help Forum to help you better. Thanks.

Thanks for that suggestion on how to measure the days delay. I will use it. Do you see a good way to combine that measure with the 'value' measure in a way that makes sense, and achieve just one result?

I don't have a sample file yet, I am in the process of creating one and be happy to share then if you are interested.
