Hi everyone! I apologize if this is a repeat question, but this is my first time posting on here! Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Q: Is it possible to "Find and Replace" specific characters of values spit out by formulae?
Basically, what I need to do is put the file name "Dataset3_20100706134923984_img16_date2010_06_07_13_49_24_869" in A1 and copy the time stamp portion of the file name to B1 without the underscores so it reads "0607134924869". I already found instructions on how to use the Command prompt to make a list of all my file names and copy/paste those into the worksheet. Now it's just the time stamp portion that's puzzling me.
Currently I'm using the formula =RIGHT(A1, 18) in B1 to copy over "06_07_13_49_24_869" but is there a way to remove the underscores after this step? Even better, is there an easier way than what I'm trying to do in the first place? I have thousands of these to add to my worksheet, so it's not just a matter of manually transcribing them because that would take forever. I'm just not familiar with all of the things Excel is capable of, so please help!
Thanks again,
Amy
