    Cells won't overspill

I have a rather large excel file which I use as a stock book. No formulas no adding, it's essentially a grid. A couple of weeks ago the cells stopped overspilling into the empty cells to their left. It's really annoying but I don't know what made this happen or how to fix it. If I cut and past a small portion - say a page - into a new workbook then the problem goes away but when I try to tranfer larger portions things go very strange, data gets lost, shifts cells etc.

    Not what I need.

Please can someone tell me what's going on?

Can you post a sample workbook (with sensitive information removed) that demonstrates the issue?

Have you checked the alignment in format cells?

    Hello,

check that the cells are not formatted to "Wrap".
check that there is nothing in the cells to the right. If the cell to the right contains anything, even a blank character, the content display from the previous cell will be cut off at the cell border.
