    Red face Problems with Zero

    New user - have a series of cells containing formula to do a calculation, but if the answer is zero (0), I don't want the zero to show up on the worksheet. Help!

    Re: Problems with Zero

    Custom format the cells to suppress display of zeros; for example, if the current number format for those cells is General, change it to General;-General;

    The trailing semicolon in that format is what causes zeros to not be displayed.

    See http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/ex...005199500.aspx and http://peltiertech.com/Excel/NumberFormats.html for more info
