Cannot open Excel sheet saved as webpage.

Hi, with the help of guys here, i sort of finished my spreadsheet,
When i click save as Webpage, or single file webpage "with interactivity" then select cells in range of what i want to use, it creates a .htm file.
I have IE8 SP3, office 2003, i tried downloading installing office 2003 web components.

without selecting interactivity, i can see the webpage but cant do/edit anything, no cells are locked or protected.

Anyone else have this problem?

If i can get it going i need to lock the most cells so that formulas cant be viewed but for now, i just want to get it visible as a webpage.

Any help appreciated plz
