    Newbee here need help

Hi I am a Newbee here on this forum. I have worked as PC Helpdesk Analyst for 7 years so I have a lot experience with supporting Excel users. Also have 10 years experience writing Cobol mainframe programs and some relational database experience. I use Excel spreadsheets for tracking many of my own personal items (Propane usage & cost for heating per year, Our Vehile Repair/Maintenance Costs, etc).

I am still a novice using Visual Basic coding and need help with an application I am trying to create in Excel.

The application uses a Top Level form (Summary of Major Repairs and Safety Issues) that has the car model series , model years / Vin Range Affected, then the list of Issues Topics (Engine – Tensioners, Engine – Trottle Body, Transmission – Fractured Forward Drum, etc).

The form will have a button to click on to bring up the Summary details in a drop down below the Topic.
The Summary details will have a button to bring up a list of revelent tagged posts coming from a tagged search of vbulletin posts presented in a drop down below the Summary details. Other buttons will bring up a list of webpages that have relevant articles about the Issue Topic ( each webpage listed will have a button that has a hyberlink to the webpage).

I need some VB code help.
See my thread in Programming section:
    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...l-db-info.html

I am not being paid to do this application ( doing it in my own free time). I feel that the information needs to be placed on specific forums for the use of the vehicle owners and propective buyers. To my best knowledge, all this vehicle information is not available in a summary anywhere.

This forum is wonderful. Thank all of you for supporting it.

    Re: Newbee here need help

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.
    Hope that helps.
