Some Excel Files Opening

    Unhappy Some Excel Files Opening

    Some of the Excel files are opening and displaying the information. Other files are opening and displaying nothing...a blank document. This all worked fine yesterday and was saved as usual on the hard drive and back-up thumb drive. The in-question files open the same way on the hard and thumb drive...a blank document. Tried a shut down and restart and nothing changed. Deleted the 'temp' files and no change after restart.

    I an on Vista and the Excel is 2002.

    Tried a search in this forum but the page wouldn't open and gave an error.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    You can post one of the files here for us to look at. If it opens blank for us, too, then that's it...the docs are blank now.

    Did an 'open with' an used the Microsoft Works Spreadsheet and the file opened. It was not as complete for some reason. Missing 2 very recent entries; but most was there. Why would it open this way and not in the original Excel?

    So why would some open and others not in Excel?
