Excel forumla to search in different excel file for matching criteria

I will do my best to explain this clearly:

I have a list of names in spreadsheet "a" and a similar list of names in spreadsheet "b' The order in spreadsheet "b' is variable so it will change.- along with the names in spreadsheet "b' are sales figures that I need to reference and put into spreadsheet "a".

I need a formula to find the "name" in spreadsheet "b" and then pull the sales figure in the same row, but say 3 columns over.

I also need the formula to reference the name that it is matching in spreadsheet "a", buy the cell name and not the content of the cell, because that may change as well.

so the formula show do something like: MATCH A3 from spreadsheet a in "Spreadsheet B" searching Cells A:A if found take info in THAT row but cell +3 columns over
