    Excel formula

    Hello everyone,

I'm new and didn't have time to do much of a search. If you can point me to the answer than thanks.

Heres my problem, probably simple but I'm not too familiar with excel.

If the characters (ex: IN3040) in cells A1:A10 are the same. I need it to add the numbers from B1:B10 of its row, into another cell.

Please change your thread title to something more descriptive of your problem... perhaps Conditional Sum... or even SUMIF...
