    cell formatting display

    Hi,

I can't get the cell to display from a list properly..

    http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/2...problemin3.jpg

I have tried to change the cell properties to text only etc but when I try to select 11-50 from the list it insists on showing a date or a seemingly random number.

What do I have to change to get it to display 11-50!?

Put a single ' before each number in the list. This will force the entry to be read as text. The number you are seeing is not random at all; Excel counts each day as 1, so it is the number of days from Excel's start date (either 1/0/1900 or 1/0/1904, depending on your settings, so that 1/1/xx is counted as day 1).
