My guess is the at the ! symbol is upsetting the formula.
I try this in excel not as a html and it play up too.
Maybe the formula is looking for a sheet reference with the ! symbol in the formula

Ratcat, i understand your thinking but the ! in the formula is formed as part of a string and as such excel sees it as a character rather than sheet notation, the problem with the original formula was because of a typo, Leighmills33 used (; )in his formula to separate the functions of the formula rather than (,) if you try the amended formula you should find it doesn't show #Value.
Knowing a little bit of html on notepad but not excel I though (; ) was the case and not (,) when scripting.Originally Posted by Simon Lloyd
