What this expression does?

I need to know what the following expression does:

in A1 I have a value, in this case 263
in A2 I have this, 68,60%

and in A3 I have the result of A1/A2, but I don't know what the excel does to get this result: 383,38

Anyone knows the kind of calculate that the excel does??

It divides A1 by A2 and returns the result.

But the problem was the result, I just discovery that first he divide the 68,60% by 1 and then divide the 263 by 0,686, giving the result.

Anything divided by 1 is, by definition, the number you started with, so dividing 68.6% by 1 gives 68.6%. Mathematically, dividing by 1 does nothing to affect the result.

Try this in A3

=A1/(A2/100)

Result = 383.3819
