This is normal but only because you have copied the formula down. Look carefully at the formulae you have copied down the screen and you will notice that Excel has "intelligently" changed the cell references moving down. the upshot of this is that as you enter more of your personal income and expenditure this value will change - looking more sensible than it does right now.

You have two choices at this stage : live with it as it is (which is what I would do), or ebery time you enter a new transaction, copy the formula down a row to refelect the new balance.

As you get further into this Excel lark you'll pick up tricks such as learning how to hide this value, unitl it contains something, but first things first eh?
