Visit Excel Forum regularly for learning how to provide solutions to the practical problems. Read the questions and their solutions.
(google search can also give you links to the world of learning Office application tutorials)

Make the F1 key your friend :-)
Pressing the F1 key in Excel, Word, & Powerpoint (I'm not sure about Visio) will open the application's Help files. You can then open the Help files' Table of Contents which are usually a good place to start if you have a specific problem & an idea of what's needed to overcome it.
