Looking up whether a value is contained in an unsorted list of strings

I have a list of phrases that are sorted by date entered, and I want to find a formula that will let me set a cell's value to TRUE if the list contains a given value and FALSE if it doesn't. The data range itself is AY105:BW156. Can someone help? Thanks in advance!

    I'd use the COUNTIF function.
