Populating a drop down list

Is it possible to populate a drop down list via data from a different sheet & or workbook?

Yes ... from a different worksheet ...
Just Insert Name Define you range to give it a name ... say mylist ...

Once in the data validation sub menu
select List
and in the source area
type =mylist

Do not forget the sign =
