advanced filter help

    advanced filter help

    Hi everyone

    Ok so I've been trying to get this advanced filter to look like the following for the last two hours but everything i try just doesnt come out the way its supposed to look,ive used excel help

    its supposed to show surname and subject

    or

    math mark is less than 40

    ive attached the spreadsheet,before i filtered and the second sheet is what its supposed to look like after the filter is set.


    anyones help would be very much appreciated.

    Hi,

    Try a normal filter.

    Filter first on Math then mark is less than 40

    Hi VBA Noob,

    Thanks for the reply,I did try that in class the other day but was told by my lecturer that I should be using advanced filters only,the last section of our course dealt with normal filters which produce the same example you provided

    Hi,

    Glad it worked


    FYI. Ann's result was over 40. So 46 won't show unless you change the criteria to say 50
