Hi,
In Excel example. The cost price is 20.00 and the recommended sell price is
30.00. What is the formulae to calculate the percentage markup of the
recomended sell price?
A1= 20
B1=30
=(B1-A1)/A1 normal markup as percentage of cost price
or =(B1-A1)/B1 markup as percentage of retail price
formatted as percentage

Be very careful not to confuse mark up with profit. Many a business has
failed because of the lack of understanding between these to numbers.
