ctrl+shift+4 wrongly gives me euro sign

Hi,

Ctrl+shift+4 used to give me the $ format for the select cell. I don't know what has changed, but it does work properly now. It gives me the '€' euro sign instead. I checked my control panel, reginons and languages. It is set to U.S. Can anyone help?

Haven't you heard!! The US economy is so weak compared to Western Europe that Microsoft is pushing for the US to adopt the Euro as well.
