Calculation error in values of pivot/graph

    Hi Everyone,

I'm newer to creating pivot tables & graphs and am stuck on a really annoying issue that I'm hoping someone can lend a bit of advice.

The screen shot (with annotation) should hopefully do a much better job at showing what I'm about to try and explain....my graph is plotting points based on the number of days in the column 'Average of TimeTo3rd' for a given run date of my report. My Crystal report runs weekly, I then take the output and append it to the bottom of the master dashboard Raw-Data tab and refresh the graphs (This will all move to a data modeling application in a few months so it is temporary). You will see planet names which represent health care providers and the numeric value represents the time in days when they have appointment availability. In an attempt to overcome this I totaled and averaged the data inside crystal and can kick out the average calculated for each provider but that makes it just as difficult to try and plot the data in the format shown in the screen shot. I'm not savvy with creating graphs and just starting to do these things in excel. Hopefully, this is enough to give you an idea of the goal but I'm happy to provide more information as needed (thank you):

What kind of chart are you using? What I see in your picture looks like a stacked line chart (10 day plots at y=10, 7 plots at 10+7=17, etc.). What you describe suggests you want a regular line chart. Check your chart type and make sure you are using the chart type that you want.

Oh man, I can't believe it was that easy....switching chart types fixed it - I didn't realize there was a difference between chart types....thanks for the super fast reply!
