How to Append cells into another cell in Excel2007?

    How to Append cells into another cell in Excel2007?

    In my attached example I want to cut contents of A3:A7 and paste it to the end of B1contents, in such a way that each cut/pasted cell "forces" a new line (Text Wrap). I think, but I'm not sure, that the cut/paste will always be to the cell immediately above and in the same column . . . not a different column.

    I know Excel2007 is old & retired, but so am I. Any/all help will be greatly appreciated.

    Oops! This is my 1st post and I accidentally posted before I had attached my sample spreadsheet.

    Now I can't see that I was successful attaching. I chose the .xls file to attach, but then POOF . . . disappeared.

    The 3rd time is supposed to be a charm. I hope my file is finally attached this time. But I see nothing that indicates there's an attachment.
    If not, please someone, reply & show me how. Perhaps attach screen shot(s) with step by step instructions.

    The "line break" (new line) character is char(10)
    The ampersand concatenates two character strings.
    So, in B1:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Thanks a million, Geoff!!

    That is the exact the result that I want! I didn't describe my complete task, which is to convert a, loosely formatted Word document . . . Date...Doctor...Location...Diagnosis/Procedure/Rx...Comments...etc into Excel. I've barely studied what I'll need to do, but this is one of the first problems that jumped out at me.

    I'm thinking that I will convert the source to a .txt file and import small sections at a time into Excel.
    Import data; (where needed) apply your formula; Copy/Paste Special (values).

    It will be a slow, tedious job that I had no hope of accomplishing without your help.

    PS . . . Here I go again showing my ignorance of the forum. I want to mark this SOLVED, but can't find where/how. I saw it somewhere before testing your formula, but I cant find it again. Maybe I'm not supposed to add comments and say solved at the same time.
