    Re: Upgrading Excel

Yes. All forward versions are fully backward compatible with 2007. (It's going the other direction that will give you trouble--using 2007 to open files created in 365, for example.)

Thank you for your reply. Could you please tell me where is the best price and place to buy Excel. I only use Excel so don’t need any other program.

Microsoft's own support page says you can:

    F.A.Q.

Can I buy just one app, like PowerPoint? What about Project or Visio?

Yes. You can buy standalone versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for Mac or PC. Go to the Microsoft Store and search for the app you want.

A one-off purchase of Office Home & Student 2019 (Word, Excel & Powerpoint) is a penny shy of £120: https://products.office.com/en-GB/co...SoftwareOffice

If you work for a company or institution that subscribes to Microsoft's Home User Program you can buy Office Professional for as little as $15 US. Google Microsoft Home User Program to determine your eligibility.

Mmm ... Excel for £110 or Excel, Word and PowerPoint for £120. I think I'd pay the extra tenner

Couldn't find that price. I have a subscription so I’ve given up on looking for cheap prices.
