Cond. format. w/ graded color scale defaults to "highest value" color when values r equal

I would like it to default to the lowest value color which is no color/white. Is this possible anyone know? Thank you

Edit Rules > pick the color you want for the lowest value. You can't make it default to that, but you can copy the formatting wherever you like.

sorry, I'm not getting your point about copying the formatting wherever I like. I don't like the formatting so long as it defaults to the highest value color with equal values. Thanks

Select a cell formatted as you like, click the Format Painter button, select the cells you want to apply it to.

Thanks again. I guess there is a mis-communication. I don't like how the format is operating so it wouldn't help to copy it elsewhere. If it's stuck at defaulting to the highest value color when values are equal it's not going to work for me. But I accept if if need be of course. But I'd rather have zero formatting, no color, when values in this particular column are equal.

Maybe that part wasn't clear? I have a column I'm applying this cf to. If the values are different, I want to color scale to emphasize this, otherwise I want no extra color help. Thanks anyway

You can change the color at each level by editing the formatting rule -- you know how to do this, right?

White is an option; no color is not an option.

Oh, okay. I like the colors. When the numbers are different they work. When they're the same they are green. I want them to be white or no color when they are the same, not green. BUT I need them greener the bigger they are, so I can't change the green for the highest value.

Maybe you can use some second format condition, but I don't understand the logic you want to apply.

You might mock up (and explain) the result you want with manually-applied colors.
