Dynamically change data based on parameters

Hello, I am new to excel just made some sheets with vlookup. I have some programming experience but I don't know how to use it on excel yet.

I have a task to help someone but I have to be really creative which I'm not very good at. I have to modify a shift scheldue to be less time consuming for the planner when some employees get holiday or get sick.

4 shifts, each with 6-7 operators, 12h per day/night with at least 24h rest between shifts.

So when a worker is missing he needs to be replaced by another one from another team. For example, Andrei from team A is missing so he needs to be replaced by someone from team B. The sheet should somehow result this. I am thinking about editing the lines with A+B after the update. Any help would be appreciated!
