Average Difference Based by Month with Pivot Table

Hi all,

I have a data set that in one column contains dates and for each of these dates is a value. These values are cumulative over the lifetime of the machine. I trying to find the average difference on a monthly basis.

Choosing a field setting of Average instead of Sum in pivot table may help you..

Right click inside your totals column and select value field settings. Go to the 'Show Values As' tab and select 'Base Item' as previous.
