Unhappy Advanced Filter to show desired text or numbers typed in a search box

    Hello,

First post so bare with me.

I am trying to make a easy search box like filter to help someone with record searches. I want the records that are filtered to apprear right below the search term field as you can see in the example. For example if I search for the name Lee, the data entry related to the name will aprear on the first row below the headers.

Tried some VBA and some macros but can't seem to make things work right.

Can someone help me, please ?

    Thank you !

Please attach a sample of your actual workbook so we don't need to re-create your data to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace any sensitive info before uploading the file.

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

    HI, welcome to the forum

If you will only ever have 1 match for what you are searching, you can probably use the INDEX/MATCH combo. If you need to return more than 1 match, then probably INDEX/SMALL/IF() combo is what you need.

If you still have a problem, upload a small (clean) sample workbook (not a pic) of what you are working with, and what your expected outcome would look like.
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
