Help please! I want to create a monthly rota for 8 people to cover monday to friday. Only one person per day and I need to put this in a calendar . It should be quite simple but I am banging my head against the desk. Any ideas please?![]()

Are there any constraints, like Person1 can't work on Fridays?
If not, then a simple way is to fill the dates of interest down column A, and then in column B you can just enter Person1, then Person2 and so on down to Person8, and then copy this block of 8 cells further down the column repeatedly.
As for a calendar display, I have submitted many examples on this forum of displaying data in calendar format from a list.

Hi Peter, thanks, I have already done it that way but thought there was a way to insert the names automatically, thus when someone is off ie for a few weeks I would be able to remove their name from the list for that period. I have seen this before but can't remember how it was done.
