    Calculating the due date from one of two cells

    Hi

    I would be really grateful if someone could help me ...

    At the moment I have a simple formula that calculates the due date of a task
    The log in date is in cell B3, I use a simple formula in cell F3 “=B3+20” – This gives me the due date

    I now need to add another log in date but use the same due date cell

    So now ....

    Either B3 or D3 will contain a date – whichever one is populated I will need the due date displayed in cell F3

    If both B3 and D3 are blank the result will be blank otherwise the date that is filled will have 20 added to it.

    Re: Calculating the due date from one of two cells

    I now have the same type of problem

    At the end of my table I have this to see how long the task took to complete

    =TODAY()+1-C3

    But now I have two possible cells with the dates in B3 or D3

    Could you help?

    What does C3 have to do with it?

    There is a "disconnect" between your first and last post. Can't tell what's going on

    Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

    Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

    Re: Calculating the due date from one of two cells

    Hi

    Thank you so much for your assistance!

    Tab 1 is how it used to look, Tab 2 is with the changes I have made.

    I need I3 on the second tab to do what G3 does on the first tab but for what ever cell has data in (A3 or C3)

    Thanks

    Jess

    Same formula to be placed in I3 and formatted DATE

    Re: Calculating the due date from one of two cells

    Hi

    That just gives me the due date again

    I need it to state how many days it actually took like in G3 on the first tab.
    So when the user enters the date it was sent it will calculate the number of days it took from when it was logged

    The formula in G3 is

    =TODAY()+1-A3

    I need it to do the same job but for A3 or C3 (which ever has a date in)

    Re: Calculating the due date from one of two cells

    I think I have done it ... =DAYS360(A3+C3,G3)

    Thank you for your help
